Founding of CADCON Systems GmbH CADCON positions itself as a systems supplierPress 18. January 2016
Using the Best Technology” is the vision of the CADCON Group. Founded in 1997 as a classic engineering office, the Group has travelled the road from development service provider to system partner, delivering complete plants, modules, and systems to our customers.
One significant step in this direction was taken in the second quarter of this year with the founding of CADCON Systems GmbH. The spin-off of CADCON Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG has the mission of continuing special machine manufacturing, energy generation, and defence technology projects, among other areas, and acquiring new projects in these areas. The most important criterion is the complete responsibility for the manufacture of plants, systems, and modules.
Andreas Gundel, Managing Director of the new company, explains the relationships: “Our evolution towards becoming a systems supplier has been ongoing for several years. The contracts in which CADCON already functions as a system partner have so far been completed by CADCON Ingenieurgesellschaft. The positive trend confirms us in our decision to place these and future projects within a single, new company. This has two advantages: First, we are combining specific competencies during development and production and system monitoring following the delivery of the systems and system components. Second, we can use project organization to create lean structures in set-up and process organization and optimally meet the requirements of a given project. In doing so, CADCON Systems can draw on the excellent technical know-how and the proven structures of CADCON Ingenieurgesellschaft and the manufacturing capacity of CADCON Maschinenbau. In addition to optimizing internal structures, it was especially important to us, with this founding, to position ourselves consciously as a system partner for existing and new customers.”
Jörg Müller, Deputy Head of Purchasing at Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, confirms that customers support this development: “The more complex a technical system is, the more difficult it is to find a reliable partner who can take over the entire process from development to production and what comes afterwards. We have been drawing on CADCON’s engineering and manufacturing competence for several years. The internal company network of specialists from a wide variety of industries has allowed consistent successful implementation of our requirements. Receiving serial production and monitoring from the same partner offers us the classic advantage of one-stop shopping: no information gaps, quicker communication, less logistical effort, and – the bottom line – lower costs.”
The first public appearance is right around the corner: From 3 to 5 November 2015, CADCON Systems will be in Munich at Airtec, an international specialist trade fair for aerospace suppliers.
